So often as the years pass local knowledge gets lost or overlooked, the Foxton Easter Fair was started by Foxton Tourist and Development and Raewyn Roberts (Lawson) formerly of Foxfire Pottery (a descendant of Theo and Elizabeth Easton) and Arthur Paddison formerlly P&T Holdings single handedly organised all the rides, the stalls and for Annette King who has a long association with Foxton and the Horowhenua to come and open the Fair.
It is wonderful that from such small beginnings, we had 22 stalls the first year that this event has grown into the event that it is today well done Foxton
