1) Fine golf links in Levin product of much solid work.
Since its formation in 1912, the Levin Golf Club has had many changes of location, but today it is firmly established on fine golfing country on the western side of Lake Horowhenua.
2) Levin Central second of town's bowling clubs.In the year 1937 a few enthusiastic bowlers decided to advance the sport in Levin by endeavouring to form a second bowling club. With this in view, an inaugural meeting was held, those present being Messrs. J. H. Bowater, W. C. Stannard, A. Dempsey, W. de Malmanche, C. Sims and E. Webber.
3) The toss of a coin.
During the earliest days of the Levin Central Bowling Club when the initial committee was faced with great difficulties, it was decided by the toss of a coin whether or not the project would proceed.
4) Women's Bowling Club owes good start to patroness.
The Levin Women's Bowling Club (originally the Horowhenua Ladies' Bowling Club) was formed when the first meeting was held at the residence of the first president, Mrs. W. Lett, on August 26, 1942.
5) Levin Bowling Club a company first.
On October 17, 1907, in Messrs. Hudson and Easther's rooms, some 20 persons assembled and decided to form a limited liability company to be called "The Levin Bowling Green Co., Ltd." The following provisional directors were appointed:- Messrs. James Malcolm (chairman), D. Smart, D. S. Papworth, P. W. Goldsmith, G. Cameron, C. Williams and Hudson. The secretary was Mr. J. Craig.
6) R.S.A. Bowling Club began trough digger's tourney.
In February, 1945, a small committee was formed to institute a diggers' bowling tournament. This committee comprised Messrs. H. G. Mackay, W. G. Clark, E. F. Lacey, L. W. Allen, W. C. Childs, H. S. Powell, W. Meddings and R. T. Martin. Mr. Childs was appointed chairman.
