The Evening Post of 3 October 1914 reported:
Fire - Levin
At 2.30 o'clock this morning a fire broke out in the Oxford-street premises O'Neill and Diack, tailors, and spread to an adjoining empty shop. The rear parts of both were badly damaged, and the tailors' shop was completely gutted, and their stock, furniture, and machines were lost. The insurances were not ascertainable this morning.
