Description

The New Levin Hotel rebuilt September 1957.

The building at far left, part of the original hotel, has now been pulled down.

Demolition gangs working inside the shell of the old Levin Hotel (1957).

They are framed by the entrance to the public bar which carries the name of the then licensee, the late Mr E.F. Ward.

At the rear is the back portion of the section of the hotel that was left and is now being demolished.


Close association with Levin hotel:

A long family chain of licencees and managers of hotels was broken on December 11, 1972, when Mrs F. T. Ward and her son, Mr Henry Ward, left the New Levin Hotel.
