Levin's passenger bus service was started in the early 1920's by Mr W. A. Hotchen, using a bus with fabric hood and side curtains.

Pioneers in passenger transport. Coming to Levin in 1895, Messrs Bob and Jim Bradley found employment breaking in horses.
