75 (NZ) Squadron, RAF (Feltwell, Norfolk – 3 Group)
Wellington III X3558 – took off at approximately 2235-2300 on same raid (as previous entry in book), and
brought down over Germany, crashing near Cuxhaven. All five crew were buried in the Central Cemetery
at Brackeswalde, but later reinterred at Becklingen, 17km south of Soltau.
Captain: NZ405340 Flt Sgt Alexander George SUTHERLAND, RNZAF – Age 23. 369hrs. 19th op.
Wireless Op: NZ411104 Sgt Adrian Oscar TABOR, RNZAF – Age 25. 193hrs. 14th op
Rear Gunner: NZ404623 Sgt Ian Gordon STEWART, RNZAF – Age 20. 230hrs. 19th op
Tabor’s brother, Lionel Tabor, died on 15th February 1943 while flying with 90 Sqn RAF.
