Description

Typed inscription on reverse of both photogarphs reads: “A relic of days gone by, the old blacksmiths shop at the corner of Cook Street and Main Street Foxton N.Z. Photo taken by F H Murray Foxton. March 1954.”

One print has typed inscription across the top which reads: “Relic of days gone by, The Blacksmiths Shop, Foxton.”

Disused blacksmiths shop made half from timber and half from corrugated iron with a corrugated iron roof. Some of the timber has fallen away from the building and there is iron missing from the roof. Inscription on reverse of photograph reads: “A relic of days gone by, the old blacksmiths shop the corner of Cook Street and Main Street Foxton”.
