The three Pupils in this photograph were (l to R) Wattie (Wakahuia)Carkeek, who went into Journalism, athe time of his death in 1967, he was the Chief Reader at the Wellington "Dominion" Daily Newspaper. In 1966 he had Published "The Kapiti Coast" a definitive history of the area running from Paekakariki to Otaki and still known as "Te Rauparaha Country".

Russell Swan, wo lived in Levin, his older brother Barry was also at College with us. I met up with Russell a few years ago, he was involved in the "Floor Covering Field of activity and was then living at Waikanae. His brother Barry passed away a year or so ago, he was I believe living at Foxton.

James (Jim) Kuiti is the 3rd in the photo, I lost track of his movements after leaving College at the end of 1948.
