MY PROFILE. WHO I REALLY AM.

I enjoy a challenge and am very much a people person.

My hobbies include genealogy, social history, gardening, swimming and writing. I am very green fingered, (people say I am resourceful) and I like speaking with others, sharing my skills and talents.

Terry is my partner of nearly forty years.

I have two adult sons who have partners and four grandchildren, as well as extended whanau. They all share a love of the environment.

My career was in education. I have always worked with teenagers and adults as well as children.

Currently I am semi retired, enjoy writing, swimming and spending time helping people.

I believe in God and don’t know where I would be without him.

I live in New Zealand a small nation in relation to the USA, and live on the Kapiti Coast which is at the bottom of the North Island.

What have I been doing for twenty five years?

When Mum passed away I promised her that I would publish Dad’s story. To do that I needed to probe, research, and think, and that’s what I have been doing. My discovery of Bernard Pietenpold, his son and grandson the legacy that he gave and is still giving to the world completes Dad’s and my story, connecting us whilst many miles apart with Bernard Pietenpold (and his family) who provided the plans and the concept which planted the seed for Dad to realise his personal dream of building and flying an aeroplane.
