Kete at the WSA in Venice.
Horowhenua Library Trust has been awarded a Special Mention in the 2007 World Summit Awards (WSA) for our CPF-funded project, Kete Horowhenua.
WSA is a global initiative to select and promote the world’s best e-content, started in the 2003 in the framework of the United Nations World Summit on the Information Society. Our Special Mention is for being an excellent example of e-content from our region (Canada, America, Australia and New Zealand).
We have been invited to present Kete to the Winners Conference being held in Venice in early November 2007, before attending the Awards Gala.
No financial assistance is given, but, if we can find sponsorship or a grant in the next week we'll be there waving the flag for Horowhenua!
