Inscriptions on reverse read: “Field Hut, Otaki” and “Donated Mr E White”

A number of unidentified men stand on the verandah of and in front of the Field Hut at Otaki Forks. The hut has a very high pitched roof with a large chimney on one side from which a large amount of smoke is pouring. The hut is surrounded by dense native bush.
