15 Durham Street has seen new uses since its origins as a family home.

A weatherboard home with a (leaky) iron roof. This grand home was gutted to become one main space, to be used as child care centre. A major addition to the rear has kitchen and ablution facilities and is built in concrete block.
After the child care centre, the building was used as a gym.
It was purchased by the Horowhenua District Council in 2003 to create an extension to the Adventure Playground which would link through to the main shopping area in Levin.
