Methodism nearly 100 years here:
The birth of Methodism in Levin is noted in the minutes of the Otaki quarterly meeting for June, 1890. A line states that the preaching place there was "credited with one pound, six shillings and sixpence from services held at irregular intervals during the past quarter".
