This photo was used by Corrie Swanwick in his article 'The Weraroa Butchery'.

The caption reads:

'For town work, the horse and cart was used extensively in Levin. These three 'taxis' are outside the Weraroa Hotel, corner of oxford and Ward Streets. The Hotel was burnt down c. 1910-1912.'
