The completion of the Borough offices and theatre blocks in January 1926, marked a highlight in the development of Levin.
| The "Public Body Offices" were noted as having a frontage of 76 feet to Bath Street and provided accomodation for the Levin Borough Council, the Horowhenua County Council and the Horowhenua District Electric Power Board. |

| The paper of the day noted that the theatre frontage was 120 feet, finished in brown tiles and comprising five shops, entrance to offices and social hall and De Luxe Vestibule. "The suspended verandah running the full length of the block gives the whole a fine aspect," remarked the story. |
