Left Column (top to bottom) - a) Pupils of 1910 – 1919 at 60th Jubilee, 1949. {original} Taken in hall.
b) ‘The Public School. Shannon. F.G.R. 2740’, 1905. {copy} Believed to have been taken after opening of 2 new classrooms in April 1905. 1889 classroom at left, 1892 classroom at centre and new 1905 classrooms behind. Used in booklet – “Shannon School Jubilee Souvenir 1949”, page 29, with caption - The School at the beginning of the century. Used in book – “Shannon School Centennial Souvenir 1989”, page 8, with caption - Shannon School in the early 1900’s. (see also – photo f, page 1 smaller copy)

g) Jack and Rewi Moynihan unfurling the flag, Shannon School, 1901. {copy} Boy (right) holds cords of the flag ready to raise or lower, while other boy (left) holds a thicker rope that is coiled on the ground. Both boys have bare feet and are wearing sailor type uniforms. (see also – Acc.#s2002.079.0004 additional copy)
