Waitohu Catchment - Wetlands and Waterways

Located north of Otaki, this catchment contains many dune lakes and wetlands.

These include:

Waitohu wetland
Sims wetland
Waitohu saltmarsh
Ngatotara Lagoon
O te Pua (Pukehou swamp)
Waimangaru Lagoon (Forest Lakes)
Rotopotakataka Lake (Forest Lakes)
Haruatai Park
Lake Waitawa
Lake Kopureherehere (on the boundary)
Pylon swamp
Simcox swamp
Wairongomai Road wetland

To the north of the Waitohu catchment are:

Lake Wairomgomai
Huritiri wetland (on the boundary)
