Growth of membership:
At the time of Levin's Golden Jubilee it was stated in regard to St Andrew's Presbyterian Church that "so extensive has been the growth in membership that plans for a new church are in the course of preparation, 5000 pounds ($10,000) having already been raised for this purpose."

Farmers group:
In 1975 the Manawatu Provincial executive of Federated Farmers at the request of it's Levin branch granted honorary life membership to C. E. C. Webb, C. A. Crawford, J. E. Honere and D. A. Stewart, who are all now past the 4 score mark and therefore able to recall the early formation of the Federation, which actually started in 1899 as the Farmers Union.
