Kete Horowhenua has a new administrator, Beth Bolton.

Kete Horowhenua is to have a new person in the drivers seat, Beth Bolton, who will take over from Joann Ransom. Beth has been involved with the Kete Horowhenua project since its very first working bee back in 2007 and has now moved into the frontline position leading the project in the community.

Beth will spend the next month or so getting familiar with administering Kete Horowhenua before launching a schedule of activities based in the community to promote Kete Horowhenua as a resource for local arts, cultural and historical material, encourage additions of new material to the database, and provide tuition and support for Kete users.

Kete is now at a point where a supporting community of users and developers nationwide will ensure thre project continues to move from strength to strength. It is time now to refocus our energy on our local community, and our local material, which is what kete what designed for in the first place.

Joann Ransom says: "I've loved working with Kete over the last couple of years but the reality is I am struggling to find the time and energy it requires given the other projects the Library Trust are involved in. I'm really looking forward to supporting Beth in her new role".
