Levin Hotel insanitary Ev Post 7 Dec 1906
Object type:Image
- Description
A good deal of discussion took place over the insanitary condition of the Levin Hotel. The health officer of the district had sent in a complaint with certain recommendations, of which the committee strongly approved, the chairman remarking that from his own experience of the place the improvements recommended were badly needed.
He admonished the licensee for allowing his back yard to get into such a condition.
After consideration the committee ordered that the health officer’s recommendations, including the installation of a septic tank, be carried out forthwith, and that ten bedrooms and a sitting-room be added before the next annual meeting.
