Present: The Mayor (Mr BR Gardener) and Crs Hall, Hawkins, Hudson, Levy, Mackenzie, Palmer, J Prouse & Ryder.
It was proposed by the Mayor and seconded by Cr. Mackenzie “that due notice having been given in accordance with Statutory provisions under the Rating Act 1894 this council do now strike a General Rate in the Borough of the sum of one penny and one farthing in the £ on the Capital value for the period from the 1st April 1906 to the 31st March 1907, the same to become due and payable in one instalment at the Borough Council Office in Oxford St on and after the 2nd day of July 1906 and that the rate book is open for inspection as by law provided during office hours.”
This was carried, & concluded the business of the Special Meeting.
