Top Left Photo - "Fishy Business in the Pit?" - Newly-formed "wharves" in the "pit" area. Karen Knight assisted by Mr J Denton lands a line fish. Believe it? Well they say the camera never lies. Caught with a piece of bamboo - a terakihi, which had previously been placed in position by a person or persons unkown but who possessed a sense of humour.
Top Right Photo - Hutt Hospital nurse Sue Denton with two Hutt Valley Old Folks' Assn members Mr Ted Brown (left) & Mr Walter Andrews. Sue was one of the group of nurses who sang carols.
Bottom Left Photo - First time for some years the Horowhenua Lake Domain Board had its full representation of Maori members at the monthly meeting of the board.
