School recalls history:

Taitoko, the name chosen for the most recently constructed primary school in Levin is one of special historical significance and, in a sense, keeps faith with a condition of the sale of the land on which the town stands-a condition that was never complied with.

The New Zealands Parents Centre has been in existence for over 25 years, but Levin's Parent Centre was formed only three years ago.

Levin's oldest centre of education, Levin School in February 1980 celebrated its 90th anniversary when in excess of 1500 past pupils, teachers and others associated with the school gathered during the celebrations.
