Description: Picture 1 caption: The staff and residents of Levin's Gardenview Elderly Care Centre are pleased the Horowhenua District Council has installed a seat on their request at the Bath Street-Cambridge Street roundabout.
Over the years the idea to have a seat placed at the roundabout has been discussed and shelved. About two months ago, Lois Waugh wrote to the council requesting a seat be installed. The request was granted.
The residents of Gardenview often walk to the shops and will be pleased to make use of the seat on the way. Other residents in the Bath Street and Cambridge Street areas are sure to benefit from it.
The seat has been placed in a sunny, sheltered spot, an ideal place to rest and watch the world go by. Trying out the new seat are Lorraine Rankin, Doreen Codlin, Anne Wilson, Kiwi Rolston, Lois Waugh and Arthur Rickett.

The day care service is provided once a week on a Friday between 9.30am and 2.30pm by GardenView for carers of older people who would like time out.
The activities, organised by registered nurse Mary Johns and caregiver Mary Andrew, are designed to stimulate the participants. In-between morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea everyone takes part in activities relating to a topical event, games, quizzes and music sessions.
