ECOFEST 2007
Despite the heavy rain before dawn, the gates opened at 10am and thousands of people streamed in to enjoy the festival. We gave the camera to a 9 year old !
Coordinator Malcolm Hadlum said people just don't care about the weather - they just arrive and have as much fun as they can.
The mud underfoot did not dampen spirits as festival goers who were treated to live music, speakers on a variety of organic issues, food and over 300 stalls. The Ohau River provided alternative entertainment - with many youngsters enjoying its waters.
An estimated 1600 people camped at the site for the weekend.
