Early Levin from the air

Pre-war Levin (possibly about 1935) shows Paddy Way's garage, bottom right, on the corner of Durham and Oxford Streets; opposite the now burnt-out Grand Hotel.

Bottom left the cycle track and baths.

Thompson House stands out in the centre right background.

At centre left is the old Town Hall on the corner of Chamberlain and Queen Streets.

Early Levin from the air:

Levin: At an elevation of 119 feet above sea level, and fifty-nine miles north of the Empire City in the Wirokino Riding of the County of Horowhenua, stands the picturesque and thriving town of Levin.
