Inscription on reverse reads: “James Moteshead Collins Senr. (Son of Charles Collins 1795 – 1875 buried on Isle of Wight & Amelia Collins nee Motteshead). James M Cook married Annie, eldest daughter of T U Cook and Te Akau Meretini on May 6th 1875 in Foxton. One child Annie Amelia – “Milly” – was born before the family moved to live in England. Then 8 more children were born. Annie was widdowed in 1896, then she bought her family home to Foxton.
