This house was built by Mr W.S. Park, in 1913. There were few houses in McArthur Street, then known as Kawiu Road, at that time. One of Levin's oldest houses built by the Ostler family was opposite.

Mr Park, a solicitor, began practice in Levin in 1906 and was joined later in partnership by a Mr Adams and later by Mr Bertram. Mr Park's son, Mr Ian Park, followed into the practice and continued to live in the house after his marriage. He died while on an overseas trip in January 1970.

The house was demolished when subdivision took place in the early 1970s.
Mr B.J. Cullinane joined the legal firm just over 30 years ago in January 1951 and retired 25 years later. He is now in practice in Palmerston North.
