Photo (b/w) of the Illuminated Address to Dr Alice Gow from the people of Miramar Borough, Wellington.

“Dear Madam We the Mayor, Councillors and Residents of the Miramar Borough desire to express to you our deep sense of gratitude for the valuable and self-denying aid rendered by you during the grave and trying time of the serious Epidemic of November 1918. Your devoton, self-sacrifice, and ready help tendered to lighten the many trials of those sufferers, who at such a critical time, required the aid and absolute necessity of Professional advice, always so cheerfully given by you. Again thanking you for your great assistance in our time of trouble we trust that you may long be spared to exercise in the cause of humanity those gifts nature has so liberally endowed you with. Signed on behalf of the Residents Yours very truely….....”
