The All Saints Church was built in 1876 on land purchased from the Maori owners by Captain Robinson.

A clause in the transaction ensured the upkeep of the grave of Pationa, a son of Taratoa, the Paramount Chief of the area before Ihakara. The interior of this Church and its stained glass windows are well worth viewing.
