The Waitarere scouts group.

We are a scout troop at Waitarere who meet at 7 o'clock every Monday night, except during the school holidays. We also have a cubs group who meet at 5:30 pm. We are part of the New Zealand organisation. Scouting is a worldwide organisation which was originally for boys but became open for girls too in the 1970s. Waitarere was the first troop in New Zealand to allow girls to join.
