The Horowhenua Dance Club meets very Monday evening and every second Saturday evening.

The Cub meets ever Monday evening throughout the year, and every second Saturday evening, with a break over the Christmas/January period.

Monday evening dancing is from 7.30 pm to 10 pm and is club, or practise evening. A wide variety of dances are performed and frequently the teachers will revise a dance or teach a new one.

Every second Saturday, from 7.30 pm to 11.00 pm, members meet for a slightly more formal dance and are usually joined by dancers from other clubs and other districts.

A selection of dances enjoyed by the members are, Quicksteps, Waltzes, Foxtrots, Rumbas, Tangos, Sambas, Cha Chas, Blues, Saunters and a variety of miscellaneous fun dances.

Independant from the Club, John and Cheryl Palliser have teaching session every Thursday evening at Ohau, when they teach new and potential members to the Club, and revise for current members the dances performed at the Dance Club evenings.

Over the last few years the Horowhenua Club and the New Plymouth Club have exchanged an annual visit, with about thirty members visiting the other club on alternate years and enjoying a wonderful evening of dancing.

The Club celebrated it's 40th Anniversary in May 2003 with a Ball in the Levin Memorial Hall. A very successful function, attended by 150 persons from the Horowhenua and surrounding clubs. The music was provided by the Highland Country Band.

This year, 2008, the 45th Anniversary was celebrated with a special dance at the St.Mary's Hall with a Wellington duo, Razzle Dazzle, providing excellent music and vocal to dance to. A very tasty and elaborate supper was catered for 110 people by volunteers from the local Happy Hookers Marching Team.

On Saturday 11 October 2008 the Club will hold its annual Benefit Dance, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Horowhenua Community Health Shuttle.
