Boy (left) holds cords of the flag ready to raise or lower, while other boy (right) stands with rifle, holding it by the barrel with its butt on the ground. Both boys have bare feet and are wearing sailor type uniforms.

Used in book – “Shannon School Centennial Souvenir 1989”, page 6, with caption - Jack and Rewi Moynihan unfurling the flag in 1901.
