Before Foxton got its Supermarket there was, a Butcher, Menswear store, Whites Hotel, Real estate Agent and the Salvation Army's Family Store that took the place of a Cake Shop. The bake House for the Cake Shop was located at the rear. This is the subject in the painting 'Abandoned'.
