Began training horses at the age of 70:

Levin has some fond memories of a man who, 80 years ago, was born in his father's butcher shop two doors down from where the Post Office now stands.

Thirty years of apostolic church:

The first regular services conducted in levin by the Apostolic Church were held in the Weraroa Anglican Hall in 1951 under the oversight of Pastor James Worsfold, then stationed at Palmerston North.
